December 2nd, 2014
Create an electronic storybook. Make use of the little gaps in life – on the sofa after dinner, in the back seat of the car, or on a train – to do something creative together. The app lets students stitch together text, photos, drawings, sounds, and more, and constantly saves work via the cloud.
2. Ask3, Free
Based on the popular “ask three before me” concept, this app allows teachers and students to quickly ask and answer each other’s questions with text and their own videos. This free app turns each iPad into a whiteboard that can record voice and visuals for instant classroom sharing.
3. Animoto, Free
Turn your photos into stunning,
professional-quality videos, complete with music and text, with Animoto’s free
app. Choose your photos, video clips, music, and video style to create a shareable
video slideshow within minutes.
4. Audioboo, Free
Audioboo is an application for
recording and sharing your voice with the world. The free version allows you to
create audio up to three minutes in length and post that to your own account on
the Web. You can add titles, tags, geolocation info, and a photo to the
recording before you upload it and the app will save that along with the file.
The audio can then be shared with others via social media.
5. Pocket Wavepad HD, Free
A free sound editor for recording,
editing, adding effects, and sending audio, Pocket WavePad allows you to record
voice or music, then edit the recording and add effects to achieve high quality
audio recordings. Work within audio waveforms to make selections for quick
editing, such as inserting recordings from other files, or apply effects like
the high pass filter to clarify audio quality.
6. ScreenChomp, Free
A simple doodling board, markers,
and one-click sharing tools help teachers (or students) explain lessons or
tricky concepts. By pushing a button they can record their whiteboard-like
doodling and audio and share with others.
